We unapologetically affirm the inherent dignity and worth of trans, non-binary, genderfluid, genderqueer, agender and queer people.
We believe that Sophia calls us to an ever more expansive understanding of the Holy. We look for and celebrate the ways that Sophia is moving and speaking through trans and queer bodies, stories, sexualities, and lived experiences.
We seek to offer a space for the messy and beautiful work of reclaiming Christian traditions, particularly for those who have been marginalized by Christian institutions, leaders, and culture. Our prayer is that this space be a space of healing from the toxic and violent ways Christianity has harmed people of all genders, sexualities, and romantic orientations. We believe that reclaiming the Divine Feminine can be an antidote and a healing balm for many on this path.
We acknowledge our limitations as a group founded by cis women. We are listening, we are learning, and we are imperfect – but we seek to show up in solidarity and create a space where people of all genders, sexualities, and romantic orientations can truly belong.
