House of Figs – Dinner Church
Come and be fed.
House of Figs is a progressive Christian community that gathers around a meal in song, silence, and spiritual conversation to repair hurts, share joys, and work together to queer the Church and build networks of care.
Join us every Sunday evening for a return to the ancient practice of house church: a simple (vegetarian) meal shared among friends, neighbors, and strangers as we live into our unbelief, our questions, and our belovedness. We gather at Sophia Rising – 3022 Cherokee St. 63118.
Doors open at 6pm; dinner will be served at 6:15pm.

Dorothy Day House Church
Dorothy Day House Church meets weekly on Sundays at 4:00pm. The location rotates and details can be found on the Google Calendar at the top of this page, or email: dorothydayhousechurch@gmail.com for more information.
All are welcome, no exceptions!
Omnia Divina
An Experience of the Living God in Beauty, Truth, and Goodness
Omnia Divina, a form of contemplative prayer rooted in the ancient practice of Lectio Divina, is a pathway to encountering the Living God through the Beauty, Truth, and Goodness inherent in the world around us. If you are new or established in contemplative prayer practices, Omnia Divina will assist you in building and strengthening your contemplative “muscles” through prayer in unexpected places.
Omnia Divina meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm. Location may vary. Check the calendar above for location. Omnia Divina will be facilitated by Rev. Suzanne Schloemann and Rev. Frank Krebs.

Healing Earth Circles
Jenn is excited to facilitate more regular gatherings of healing earth circles this year! The Circles move around, inviting us to connect with the wisdom of the more than human world all around the St. Louis area.
If you would like to be on an email list that is just for alerts and updates about when/where we will gather next, please add your information here.
You can also join the Facebook group for updates and future information as well.

Deepening Into Dark:
A Restorative Soul Care Practice for the Season
Sunday, Dec. 7th 6-8pm
The darkness of December calls to us. As the earth in our hemisphere turns inward, we are invited to do the same. During this time of year when the outer culture gets busy, this 2-hour practice is a chance to carve out sacred, slow time for yourself and to ground in the gifts of the season. Through gentle movement, restorative meditation, and self-reflection, we will nurture the body, quiet the mind, and listen to the heart’s still, small voice. Come receive the gifts of sacred dark and anchor your deepest intentions for the season.
Please bring a blanket, journal, and pen.
Accessibility: This class involves floor-based movement as well as standing movement. There are two medium sets of stairs to get into the studio.
When: December 7th / 6-8pm
Where: Blue Sky Yoga / 3525 Watson Rd.
Cost: $22/$33/$44 / reach out for scholarship options if cost-prohibitive
REGISTER HERE (you have to scroll to December to see my workshop)
“Sometimes, I feel how that infinite darkness
calls to the darkness inside me as if to say,
remember, remember where you come from,
remember what you are.
And the darkness
inside me sings back.”

house of figs will observe Lent by addressing money—how we spend it, what we feel about it, what Jesus and the Law and Prophets have to say about it. As oligarchic billionaires move our country ever closer to Christo-facism, it’s time to honestly and prayerfully address money and its place in our lives and spirits. Deep breaths.

Strong Like Flowers, Playful Like Toads
Saturday August 3rd & Sunday August 4th
3 Modules | 2 Days | Drop In & Out | Come for All 3
Led by Kara Bender and Kelly Feder
St Louis Weekend In-Person Offering for White & White-Passing Folks
What might be possible in our racial justice work if we had a hundred embodied strategies at our fingertips, ready to surprise each other with playfulness?
The anti-racism movement’s large-scale approach to change is to learn a foundation of definitions and terms, identify what is inequitable, and make critical policy and programmatic changes. But then people show up and we, as white folks, haven’t shifted HOW we as white folks show up – energetically, spiritually, within our white body’s nervous systems. Then we wonder why culture hasn’t shifted alongside the bylaws and vision statement updates. We can find ourselves frustrated at “messing up” again and again and not showing up how we dreamed we could.
Using simple, accessible, guided body-based lessons, participants will have the opportunity to tune into habits of mind, body, and socialized ideas of how to “be” and cultivate a myriad of options where they previously hadn’t perceived any.
Let’s let our bodies be our guides! More details HERE.
